Our power went out at our house in SE Huntsville on Wednesday evening. Tornadoes were ripping Alabama and surrounding states apart. The TVA transmission towers took a big hit, so no delivery was available for north Alabama. Predictions ran from 4-days to 10-days to get the power restored to the intact parts of the area. Fortunately, I had a full tank of diesel and with the aid of Onan and AH, I was able to stay comfy 24/7. Our immediate area was not damaged but entire neighborhoods were decimated both north and south of us. I pray for the recovery for those affected and thank my lucky stars for my Monaco. Oh, and yes, I shared with my neighbors. Had a Honda EU2000 that ran 24/7 and kept five refrigerators and two freezers from spoiling.

In our area, power was restored after only four days. Seemed like four weeks! We are very fortunate. Please remember the folks who lost homes and loved ones in your prayers.
