Thanks to some helping answers from forum members, and friends in the know, the wife and I made another leap yesterday.

We moved on from our trusty HR Admiral 37PCT to the 08 HR Endeavor (Diplomat twin). We take delivery Friday and are looking forward to a trip to Woodburn, Oregon next week to celebrate our grandsons birthday.

I am NOT looking forward to moving stuff from one to the other. But the end result will be well worth it.

MM

We take delivery from Holiday Motorhomes in Fife, WA. We live just a little north of them on the edge of Puget Sound.

This will be our third coach from this dealer, can't say enough good things about them. They're almost like family.

The trick to transferring your stuff to a new coach with flow-through basement compartments is this... Go to K-Mart or Wall Mart and buy a number of the largest size rubber containers that will fit underneath without hanging up when you pull the compartment tray out. Now you can organize all your stuff from the old side compartments in ways that make sense.

Congratulations on the new coach!!

Corkey,
Congratulations on your new coach.
Another way to make the transfer of stuff easier is to park the coach doorways next to each other, get a good solid wide board that will hold your weight and put it on the highest step on each coach that you can make work. Kind of the gangplank approach. This will save you the down five steps and up five steps every time. After a while that up and down gets old.
Enjoy your new coach.

Thanks for the moving tips. The first thing for me to do is measure the slid-out tray for plastic storage containers. But first we need to decide just what will go there.

I had the wife read the idea of using a gangplank. She seems a little nervous about "walking the plank". Her comment was something about marriage, many years, now walking a plank, and some other comment about being out of practice. Personally I think it's a darn clever idea.

Thanks again folks, I'll be lurking on the board as it's just a great place to stay informed about our Monaco products.

Congrats on the new coach. I hope you have many safe miles ahead. Let me know how the move went. We are going to move tomorrow into our HR and it is almost as bad as moving households and just as expensive.

All I can say is WoW, we now have a 2 car garage full of stuff I havent seen in a while. And I truly thought I was organized, ... HA.

While it's nor quit as bad as moving household furniture, it's still a real adventure. I'll be thinking about your move tomorrow, we launch on Friday.

Cheers

Corkey,
We actually used the gangplank idea a few years ago when we had a fifth wheel. We were in Florida on vacation and bought a new fifth wheel. It was summer and hot as heck. We used the board placed on the steps of both units and it saved a lot of time and sweat.
Now granted if the Mrs. is a little uncomfortable walking the plank it may not be a good idea. But hey, really you just have to stay on the straight and narrow or walk the fine line.

It just dawned on me.

Tomorrow, Feb 29th, we take delivery of the new rig. It just happens to be the extra leap year day of Feb.

Does this mean it will be another 4 years before the coach reaches it's first birthday? If so, we have an absolutely fantastic warranty package..
