We left Prescott, AZ to travel to Portland, Oregon because our daughter-in-law is due to give us our 3rd grandchild, (their 1st) any minute, and Gloria wanted to be there to help for a few weeks. Of course, on our way up I-5, all the RV's are heading south!!!! I'm thinking, what's wrong with this picture. Soooo, we came up I-5, and were forced to stop in Eugene in order to pay the toll troll. It has been decreed that you can't pass Eugene without doing so, or you get bad karma!!!! As directed, we pulled into this very nice RV park (the posted pics don't do it justice) just outside of Eugene, and there was Monaco Mama! We had a great visit, broke bread, drank some vino, and all in all had a great time. MM...it was fun! Continued good luck and success in your Oregon adventure!!!

Mbl Cndo..
I am sure that you just thought you dreamt about the "Troll" while on that pain medication... but it actually exists! .

If you go to this link...you will find out about the "I-5 Troll" that exists in Central Oregon
The Troll only requires that anyone passing through Eugene stops and produces a handshake. They usually leave giving hugs and taking a bit of a new friend with them!
If you go to this link... there is a possible picture of the troll...It is not armed.. but has a wickedly silly personality...so appproach with a few smiles!

I need to finish getting ready for work.. but at least some research of the troll is pretty much on the Monaco forum..so it will always be easy to find!

Well, the troll struck again last night! The troll wandered harmlessly to the front door on the Endeavor...armed only with her smile and a firm handshake The Troll was greeted with the same from the owners...along with a head to be patted & a blue ball to be tossed for Lucky, "the Wonder Dog".(Lucky is also very spoiled...just ask him! )
The Flyer family "is all that and more" of what the Troll expected! The visit was a very enjoyable and pleasant experience...so much so...that if the Flyers wanted to..they earned an extra pass past the troll...if they so choose! Hopefully they enjoyed the Troll enough that they may want to stop by on their way home.
Also...I do believe the Troll's Innkeeper said he would give a "MonacoMama" discount during the Off-Season to those who say they are coming in to see "MonacoMama" (also known to this forum family as the 'Toll Troll' ) There is one catch- you do need to let MM know so she can follow up on the discount before you arrive.

The "Troll" is waiting for her next victim to pass a friendly smile and a bit of friendship to...
...so will YOU be next??

She's at this RV park in Eugene. You may actually get to meet both of us as I will probably still be in the area..
We may even see you at Camp Monaco as I am going to be a drop-in to try to get leaky front window sealed..

SACS...
One good thing about being in Oregon this time of year is I now know I have no leaks in my MH
It finally stopped raining this afternoon for a while, but looks like it can start again any second. Be careful over the pass tomorrow...
Oh yea...bring those chains!!!

Bruce, unlike you, I carry a set in the MH and my 4 wheel drive truck..Only had to use them one time on the MH.. My cousin is a skiing nut and got married at a ski resort in the Sierras..MM and I had to chain up to get there Actually followed the plow up the hill and he cleared a spot in the parking lot of the resort for us.

I sure hope your right.....this sunshine withdrawal is tough In 30+ years in Oregon, I chained up my vehicle just once...I got stuck on the bottom of a hill, and after multiple futile efforts to get up the hill, I finally broke down and put on the chains. While I always carrid them here, I never had to use them.
I was looking at accuweather.com for January 2nd when we are heading home, and it looks like snow in Portland then...if the pass is chains required, we are going around on the coast route!!!

No, No.... I didn't say you would see any sunshine,,,,,Not at your location
Its all going to be south of you...
According to my weather gods, you won't see the sun till Christmas day and even then it is mostly cloudy
But here's a little to hold you over..
