Throttle Position Sensor

I have a 2006 Monaco Knight and cummins has diagnosed a faulty throttle pressure sensor. I was told I had to replace the complete throttle assembly. I contacted Monaco customer service and was told that the part is no longer available. Their advice was to check salvage yards. Anyone else faced with this issue?

Do you mean the gas pedal that you push with your foot?

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Sounds like the RV salvage yards would be the best bet.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Do you mean throttle position sensor? You might find old new stock on ebay or somewhere to fit that engine.

I've been able to find them on Ebay...Ford wanted $600+ for my F350, Ebay $100. There should be a part # on it or with the shape and # of electrical pins you should be able to find a match. Cummins did not make it.

I am being told that the you can't replace just the tps. The whole assembly, pedal and all, must be replaced. Teleflex made the original but they were bought out by Kongsberg. I was praying that someone else had similar issues and had some fix other than search every salvage yard in the USA.

Through a lot of phone conferences and some good people at the Monaco Service Center in Oregon I was able to come up with a fix. I appreciate the support from all of you.

I have all the information in an email. I am not smart enough to know how to post it. I would be happy to forward the email to anyone.
