Following in no particular order is some info I garnered on a recent visit. The Monaco assembly line has not changed very much. Same construction methods but with some supposed impovements. The sidewalls do not have a luan panel. Instead the fiberglass is a composite that includes luan. The Camelot is on a raised rail 10 bag chassis. They are still using the infamous door arms. The Dynasty's I saw(3 on the line) all had the 650 HP Cummins and were all 45 ft. I dont think they make a 42 ft. in the Dynasty. The Dynasty has a gorgeous aluminum rad overflow/fill tank. I suspect it is made by Source. The units with a Navistar powerplant use a new style plastic tank that is transluscent. Probably a stock Navistar item. Many of the parts are coming from different suppliers. The battery trays were not Kwikee. Most units are using residential fridges. Still using GY G670's but the Vesta has Continental tires. Better idea. Other than the front end the Vesta is an interesting concept. From the side looks like one of those buses that GM made for the world's fair in the 50's. It is wind tunnel designed. They are producing a total of 10 units a week. The same line is used for all models. I dont know how many gas units are being built in a week but 10 DP's is certainly not enough to keep the plant running. The big move will happen after Jan1. Most of the workers do not expect to be recalled after the xmas shutdown. I was feeling quite sad to see what was once the queen of all MH plants reduced to a slow moving shrunken facility. Those poor workers!!
