I agree with bigjim , Michelin's have a history of premature and sometime
rather extreme checking of their RV tires .

I have 2 Michelin's on the front because I ruined a tire while traveling and that
was the only 2 tires we could find .

We have had excellent use from Bridgestone tires on our RV until I ran over
something , but they are not really any cheaper than Michelins .

Maybe Toyo's next

Agreed. With all of the comments here, I think I would prefer Toyos, finding them nearby is another thing.
I will be heading out searching today.

Ok, found Toyos local but I can't seem to get the prices you guys are!
Toyos are $475/ea but the mount balance tax and disposal is $731, which is $200 higher than Loves (for the Michelin ).
Total out the door will be $3581....not including beads.
I guess this is the way I will have to go. Beads? I am assuming yes on this. I was looking at the centramatics but they don't carry them. I have A TPMS for the tires. Beads get jammed in them?

Seriously?

Over $250 per tire for mounting/ balancing? I would buy the Michelin's before I gave a nickle to those crooks !!

Yeah, I thought is was high too. Maybe Loves isn't charging disposal?

John, the beads break down over time, particularly into the valve stems. I had to force air pressure back through valve stem to clear needle pins. TPMS then works ok.

Hmmm...so centramatics then?
They are supposed to have a special valve stem with a filter like thing on it...is what they told me.
Loves totally misquoted the Michelin. Sent me to another shop and they wanted over $1000/each.
I think I am going toyo.

I put Hankook's on the steers last spring. Pete's road service said if i didn't like them, he'd give me full credit and put bridgestones back on. I have zero issues with them ride as nice as the bridgstones. Little less $ too.

I looked for Hankook's but could'nt find any in the 295/80 size.

No matter, the Toyo's are good tires, as long as you don't get a set that smell like cow dung when they warm up !

I just replaced my steer tires which were 8.5 years old & had Dynabeads inside for that time. They looked pristine. No sign of breakdown of any kind. If you use the large bead size they won’t interfere with the valve or TPMS sensor.

Can't Loves get Toyo's for you ?
I would call the Toyo place and ask them to recheck their price ,
they have surely made a mistake .

I don't have beads but I will use them eventually .
When I do I will use Dyna beads , those are what all the guys
over on Yahoo monacoers use and highly recommend .
Beads are like Centramatics , they rebalance each time you take off .
Dyna beads are a ceramic product and they use them over again and
I haven't heard anyone mention them stopping up the valve stems unless
maybe if you get the wrong beads , they come in different diameters
as well as different size packaging for different tire sizes .

Actually you could put the little plastic BB's in the tire but I expect
they wouldn't last long .

Toyo wasn't shown as a brand Loves carry . They also told me that this size is common only to RVs, not trucks
