Toilet Woes
My toilet is occasionally giving me a problem, I thought I'd see if anyone else has had this happen. It has two buttons on the side to operate and we've been using it in residential mode. So one touch flushing. Every once in a while lately it has started to open hesitated in the middle then completely opened and stopped there. One more push closes it, but it's worrying me.

Sure sounds like you have a Thetford Aria II Electric Toilet. And I bet it looks exactly like the attached photo.
That device is one of the biggest POS toilets made for an RV.
You can replace the motor/valve assembly for about $150 if you do it yourself or maybe $400 if you have someone do it for you.
OR you can get rid of the POS and put in a REAL toilet.

Check to see if your house batteries are low on voltage. It may sound weird but I have started two separate threads on this exact same problem and then, for an unrelated reason, I installed 4 new house batteries and the toilet flushes normally again.
I still need to clean the flapper gasket so it will hold water but everything else is working fine.

Mine does the same thing! I think it's a problem with the switch, not the flap sticking. I just press the switch a second time and it closes.

Two Button;
Ihave a two button and had to replace the gasket last year and I thought there was an adjustment on the back, close to where the change from dry dock to residential switch was. Can't remember for sure, I;ve slept since then

Try a reboot. Behind the toilet is a yellow in line fuse holder.
Separate and count to "mississippi 10". Reconnect.

That is exactly what happened to me. Low voltage: would not close

The batteries are up and in good shape. My solar takes good care of that. Everything is clean and lubed. I switched it to the water saver mode while we dry camped for a week and now it seems to be flushing like normal. We'll see what happens next. Thanks all and Happy trails to all.
