My Thetford 34425 toilet won't run water without opening the trap which let's the water out. It used to fill by slightly depressing the foot control to fill the bowl, but no longer. My spray has never worked (for me). Thetford said that was normal when using the water pump because of low pressure, but I'm on city now and still doesn't work. Guess I could just keep a bucket full of water nearby. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It may need a rebuild kit.

After being full time for several years, ours started to do the same thing once I stored it for a few months. I guess I was lucky but a good cleaning and working the mechanism a few times got it working properly again.

good luck

I thought my sprayer was broken also until I figured out that is only works when the water is flowing in the toilet.

When mine needs a new seal or any type of rebuild, the spray hose will be replumbed to work when the sprayer button is pushed.

My Sealand requires the lifting of the foot pedal to add water.

Thanks! that solved the spray nozzle question. Mine is an Aqua Magic and is supposed to work by depressing the foot pedal half way down. Seems there should be an adjustment, but I did see that there is a pedal kit. Anyone put one on?

Have you downloaded the owner's manual.. Google the make (Tethford) and follow the links from there.

I just glanced at it because my model 111 is also one where you lift to fill, but the manual clearly showed half way down as the fill position.

Im guessing adjustment needed.
