This is a request from the DW. Our Dynasty does not have a regular oven. Thus no place in the kitchen to hang the dish towel. In the area wher one would have an oven there are 2 cabinet doors. The corian does stick out over the edge of the cabinetry and there is an area under that counter where I could mount a bar. However I have searched in vain for something that would look good. Maybe 12 to 18 inches long, not bulky, burnished brass to match the fixtures or even black. Nothing at Lowes, Home Depot, Menards or camping world. Any suggestions? Thanks

Moisheh..
Can you post a photo of what your fixtures looks like? If you post a photo I might be able to check the local Monaco Overstock Store...(or even email the photo to mail@nwrvsupply.comand ask them if they have something that matches.

MM
They do have stuff that could easily match and would work.

Moisheh;

We bought a towel rack from Monaco like the one in the bathroom, shortened the rod, and mounted it on the backside of one of the cabinet doors beneath the sink.

It comes with all the screws and costs about $14 as I recall.

The big plus is that it matches all the towel racks in the coach and looks really nice. Actually we bought two to add a towel rack in the bathroom.

You might look in the hardware at Lee Valley Tools or maybe at Van Dykes Restorers. This may come as a shock to you but the hardware used in RV's are not available only to RV companies. I can find pretty much any piece of hardware I want thru just a few companies. Usually at a price far cheaper than what most of you guys are paying for at the dealers. Usually better quality as well. There's this one outfit that has the neatest selection of door hinge hardware like what is used on ambulances, firetrucks, etc... just amazing.

Moisheh,

Our coach does not have the oven but Monaco mounted a towel bar over the cabinet doors where the oven would have been. The bar is made form 1/4 inch round stock and painted black to match the stove top. It is actually mounted to the bottom of the stove top and possibly could be an item that Atwood provides with the stove. You might check with Atwood if you have an Atwood stove.

You can get over the door towel bars( no screws--just hangs over the door front and back) in oiled bronze at Bed Bath and Beyond or Target--don't remember which. They are only about 8-10 inches long, but work well in the kitchen. We are using them in our coach and they seem to work out fine.

These 2 photos show the finish of the plumbing fixtures and the cabinet where I would like to place a towel bar. The stovetop is recessed and so there was no bar supplied by Atwood or Monaco. Thanks

Moisheh, Have you checked Restoration Hardware or Ballards. Both have on-line stores and Restoration Hardware has a brick and mortar store here in Birmingham.

We had a similar problem with our new Monarch. It has bunk beds and sleeps 7 but only had a loop towel rack in the bathroom. I shopped everywhere and found an acceptable match to our brushed nickel hardware at Walmart.

Good Luck!

Duffy's Dad might be referring to these.

I got a set, 1 for the coach kitchen & 1 for my home kitchen. The only downside to them is you can knock them off the door easily when taking the towel off the rod.

moisheh -- A word of caution -- If you hang anything wet or damp on a towel bar inside your wood door, it will, over time, ruin the finish -- The moisture will wick into the wood -- I did service work on Park Model`s for years, & replaced some door`s because of the above -- It takes some time, but it will happen -- Bill Willard

Yep our Dip has one too. You can see it here. It's part of the stove. I see by the picture earlier in the thread that they put a better stove in the higher end coaches that is resessed and completely hidden when not in use.

Moisheh,

Here ya go. A 24" "appliance pull" that can double as a towel rack, but without the ugly end mounting brackets that most towel racks have. You can order these in any finish to match your cabinet hardware. A little pricy, but it would go perfectly with your coach. You would have to have enough room between the recessed stove and the cabinet wall to install the mounting screws. You can also get it in 18" length, if that works better.
