I will soon be heading up I-95 from Florida to Harrisburg, PA to Mass.
I am interested in Toyo Tire dealers along this route that would carry size and would mount 275/70R22.5 on my 36 foot M/H. I'm soon getting to the point where I might need new tires. I realize this is a far reaching question but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

How do you travel I-95 to Harrisburg, PA? We travel through Harrisburg going to Maine each year from Tennessee and use I-81 from Knoxville north (actually have to travel on a bit of I-40 east). I am wondering because if you plan to cut across North Carolina and then get on I-81, I-40 at the Tennessee/North Carolina border is totally closed because of a landslide. You can check out the condition on the internet and see what things are like before you plan your trip. If you don't plan to cut over and use some other way to get to Harrisburg then this won't be a problem - we find I-81 to be a very nice way to miss all the city traffic that I-95 takes you through. Good luck.

Lew,
I do hope that this message gets through to you. I'm a greenhorn on this message board and only a little better on the computer. I knew as I explained my route to New England from Florida that I should have been more explicit but I was not.
Thanks for the info, though on the rock slide.
My route from Florida is to go up 95 to Fredericksburg, VA to route 17 north to route 66 west to I-81 north. This takes me away from the Wash/ Balt. traffic and the northeast corridor.
After Harrisburg, PA. I pick up 78 east to NJ and then 287 to either the TappanZee Bridge or the NY Thruway to Newburgh, NY and I-84 east to Worcester, Mass.
That is the way I usually travel but I have been known to alter my route when the whim hits me. There are a number of different routes I could take. As a former over the road truckdriver of 40 years, I do have a lot of experience on the road.
Thank you for your response though and also thank you Drifter for your Toyo tire response.

You clearly understand the ropes with your OTR experience. We have travelled up to Maine many times and I will do what ever it takes to avoid the traffic east of I-81 until I absolutely have to go east. We go I-81 to Scranton then I-84 all the way across to intercept I-495 around Worcester, MA. Sometimes reluctant to give advice on the forum because you never know how experienced the person is - in your case more than me. Good luck and safe travels.
