Trace Inverter charger

Newbe, I just purchased 2000 Monaco Diplomat. 40,000 Miles. The Trace L1512 inverter has 120 V going to it but 0 V coming out of it.
the 20 amp breakers have been turned off and on. No help. The search lamp is on blinking. Battery Voltage 11.8 DC. on the 4 deep cycle 6V.

I have no power to the inverter 110V outlets in Coach.
Remote is on. but the led's are all lite. the on/off will turn off the inverter and on.

what brand is a good replacement? or Repair this one? Please help. Thanks for this great place to get information.

I just replaced mine with a Magnum MS2812 Pure sine wave Inverter/Charger. This one gets lots of good reviews, is made in the USA, has great customer service and is backed by a three year warranty.

I had the same inverter in my Previous 2000 Dip, called Trace , they said the parts where no longer available, but they sent me a new inverter direct , at a reduced price, the replacement inverter required a sub-breaker panel, new inverter did not have built in breakers. Purchased the breaker panel at Home Depot, not a difficult job to install.

I had mine go out 2 years ago. I ended up getting it repaired. The outfit was Tekris and they are in New Jersey and Arizona. They did excellent, quick work...could not have been happier.

Somewhat confused by your plight. Inverters have 12 volts going to them and then produce 120 volts out. Not the other way around.

The Trace L 1512 is an inverter/charger.

I think he is asking about 12 + volt charger output.

At least that's my read.

Thanks for help. mine is inverter and charger. it charges battery bank, when needed inverts 12v DC to 120 V AC.
i think it used the 120v AC to power the charger and internal items. a relay inside then pass thru 120V AC but when the power 120 V AC is lost then inverts 12 DC to 120 V AC.

thanks for your help

Our Trace 2000 watt (different model) just died. Be careful in ordering new one. Ours was dual in and out and Zantrex suggested 3000 watt direct replacement. But didn't tell me that it was do to it being an exact replacement. In an effort to save a few hundred dollars I ordered the 2000 watt. (Best price was Invertor Supply) and vendor didn't question our decision. This required us to install a breaker sub panel as the 2000watt is not dual in\ out.
You will also be replacing the control panel, which is way more complicated than our old one. And need another part if you want auto gen start.
In now and were up and runnung

You said the LEDs on the remote panel were all lit up? It might just be a bad remote panel or a crushed phone cable. Did you try disconnecting the remote panel and try it manually? Sometimes a bad remote panel or damaged remote cable can freak out the inverter.
