Anyone have any idea where the tail light/brake light converter for the toad lights may be located? Keep blowing the fuse for left brake light and suspect the converter may be bad. Toad system is good. (Connected it to another coach and my truck and all was good.) RR8R chassis.

Within a couple of feet of the plug on the back of the motorhome? The wires from there should lead you right to it.

That's what I thought also. Followed the wires about 2 feet until they went into a loom of about 100 wires. Still looking!

We're talking about the fuse on the motorhome side, right? Does this happen only with the toad connected, or all the time? Blowing immediately, or does it take a while? You say left brake light. The left turn signal is working OK?

Was the trailer plug installed by the dealer or the factory?

FWIW, my experience with those converters has been they'll loose a function. One of the lights they supply power to will stop working. I've never seen one that was blowing fuses.

My converter is about 5' from the plug. It is in the engine compartment about chest high on the right side. It was totally covered in black tape and almost invisible. Mine went bad also and had to be replaced. Not hard to do, just cut all the tape away and I used a 12 volt electric tester to find out which wire was for what but it was still color coded correctly. The hardest part was getting the DW to sit still long enough and turn on different turn signals and brake lites.

This is all factory wiring. I am losing the left brake signal in the trailer hitch plug. All the coach lights are working. It is blowing the fuse for left tail/brake light so my best guess is the converter. Just can't find it.
It does not blow the fuse unless the toad is connected. We know the toad is ok. Have tried 2 coaches and 2 toads, so the problem is in the coach.
