ok,i just bought a brand new wells cargo enclosed trailer for my 08 neptune .all the trailer lights worked when it was hooked up to my dodge truck using the 7 pin connector.i hooked the trailer up to the motor home and the lights on the trailer will all come on ,but the right blinker and right brake light will not work on the trailer.the light is on though
its funny becuase now i remember the delivery guy that delivered the rv to me said the same when he hooked his car to the 08 neptune.he said just replace the 7 pin connector on the rv .i know somthing is goofy becuse the 7 pin connector was zip tied to the hitch on the rv becuse the little screw mounts on the connector were broken.what do you guys think?the blinkers and everything works on the motorhome also.i dont have a brake control hooked up to it yet.its in the box still becuase i think i should fix this little problem before the prodigy brake control install

You need to check the wiring on the coach. It's a standard pattern. Your manual will have the wiring diagram of the 7 pin connector. If the plug was only zip tied, the right brake wire may have been pulled loose or placed into one of the spare positions.

I don't know how the newer coaches are down, but they mounted my plug way back down the hitch arm away from the receiver opening. What a pain. Everything I connected I had to use a longer trailer lead. I cut off the braket and moved it right next to the receiver opening. This may be an opportunity for you to do the same if you have a similar issue.

gto19.......Your 7 pin plug has a (1) white - ground, (2) blue - electric brake, (3) green - tail/running lights, (4) black - battery charge +, (5) red - left stop/turn, (6) brown - right stop/turn, (7) yellow - auxillary/back up.

You may have a wire at the #2 position for trailer brakes, but I don't think Monaco wires in a #4 charge lead or a #7 back up lead, so you will have some spots that will have no wiring. You need to check that someone didn't put your stop/turn wire in one of those positions.

Also, do a complete fuse check. My coach has separate fuses for the trailer circuits and it's posible a fuse was compromised with all the activity going on with the plug. I had a blown fuse for the turn signal, coach was fine, towed vehicle had none, i looked forever for the problem before discovering there are fuses protecting the coach plug.

My fuses are in the rear curb side compartment. There is a fuse for each circuit going to the 7 pin trailer plug. I have no idea if our coaches are wired the same or similar, but it's worth a shot to look.

still not working.ive replaced the 7 pin with a brand new one.ive checked the wire to the left hand side at the 7 pin plug and it flashes when the blinker is on with my hot stick.but when i check the right side wire there is no power coming to the 7 pin connector.but the right side blinker on the motorhome is flashing.
i see no fuses on the neptune that shows trailer blinkers

Been there ...

I was going to shoot a couple of pic's for you in the morning showing the fuse legend inside the cover of the fuse box. Seems you no longer need it.

I'm glad you're up and running again.
