I have a 2004 Holiday Rambler Ambassador with the 4-bag suspension. Does anyone know of an installer in the Houston area for the Source Engineering trailing arms and the ride enhancement kit? Mine are not cracked but I have almost 30,000 miles and I need to get this done.

I only know of one place. But it is in San Antonio. Iron Horse RV They do excellent work at a reasonably price and they do fast work. They claim to be a repair center for RV's not a storage lot. We've had them do several repairs and were very satisfied.

Thanks, Bill. The Amarillo location might be a bit far. Several states are closer to me than Amarillo. I know about Holiday World but I am not too impressed with their service record. I may have to check it out.

I just got a quote from Matt at Iron Horse RV in San Antonio. To replace the trailing arms and to install the ride enhancement kit the total price is $6,215.09. Just the trailing arms is $3,150. Do these prices sound right?

You could try http://www.demontrondrv.com just to get a price comparison.

We had the trailing arms only replaced in Cummins Power, Harrisburg Pa. and the cost for the arms, $1900.00, and the total cost with labor was, $2509.00, that is with the Cummins Power card. The cost of $3150.00 is way high, according to Source Engin. the arms cost about 18 or 19 hundred, just call them and they will tell you the cost than you can decide where to get your m/h repaired. just my thought...

Well, I bit the bullet and dropped off my rig at Iron Horse RV in San Antonio today. They tell me that by tomorrow afternoon (Friday) I will have my new trailing arms and REK installed. When they finish up I will hit the road for a 2,000 mile trip and I should know whether it is worth $6,000 plus.

Picked up my coach at 5:30 on Friday afternoon and hit the road for home. What a difference! Now I'm leaving on a trip to Missouri and I am looking forward to the trip. Thanks to Matt and the guys at Iron Horse RV for making it all happen.
