My transmission cooling fan has seized. In removing it, the plastic fan
mounting shroud fell into a bunch of pieces in my hands. Local automotive parts stores can't help me.
Baco 60026 12V fan motor. Dunham-Bush DB-1322DC transmission cooler unit,
Dunham-Bush part# for fan motor is 500-096.
Any ideas where I can get a cooling fan unit (motor and mounting shroud) for
this transmission cooler?

Jim,
Maybe these folks could help you out if you can't find the other parts.

Being a Do-It-Yourself and "fabrication" kind of guy I would try to adapt an electric car cooling fan to take it's place and would probably get one from a junk yard. But that's just me..

You might try Haydenauto.com, they make several different models that may fit your application.

Thanks guys. I was given a referral to:
Summit Racing
I'll get a fan from them tomorrow.

I replaced the fan on my 1999 Monaco Diplomat with the fan from summit, it bolted up perfectly. I did have to cut leads and used Monaco plug, also had to reverse leads to run fan in correct rotation. The fan I got allowed you to change rotation of motor if needed. Easy fix tho!

Well, I got a fan from Summit Racing. It was a perfect match. I tested it before installing it. Works nicely.
I'm not out of the woods yet. Now that it's installed, the fan does not run. I idled the coach @ 1000 rpms with transmission in gear with parking brake on. The transmission temperature climbed all the way up to 250 degrees, and the fan did not cut in.
Anybody have any clue what relay or temperature sensor or thermostat is not working, and where it would be located?

Are you sure the fan you replaced was for the transmission, or was it for the airconditioner condenser raditator, I was wrong when I said I replaced the tranny fan. I don't have one...that I know of. With the engine running, turn on the dash air and see if the fan starts.
good luck

Yeh, it's the transmission oil cooler fan. On my coach, there's two coolers behind the right rear grill. The rear one is the A/C condenser. I replaced the electric fan for that one last year. The front one is the hydraulic oil cooler for the Allison transmission. The electric fan for that one seized and the transmission temperature rose from a normal of 150 to 170 degrees all the way up to 225 to 250 degrees. I replaced the fan, but once installed, it won't run. So, I'm determined that there is a temperature sensor or relay somewhere that has failed. I need to find out what I'm looking for and where to look for it.

Jim,
There is a relay, it is the 5th down from the top in the rear run bay relays. Not sure about the temperature sensor, I would assume it would be in/on the transmission.

And....there is a 20 amp breaker for the trans fan; it is 3rd down from the top next to the relays.

Jimmy,
Thanks for the lead. I'll track it down in the morning. I'll let you know what I find.

I don't know your unit, but I do know my car cooling fan is ran by one of two temperature sensors. One sends it's info to the dash gauge and the other sends it's signal to a "computer" which in turn enables a relay to turn on the cooling fan(s). I thought I'd point that out since you mention having a temperature reading indicating you may actually have two sensors..If the fan seized, I would lean towards a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker..
