I would not select a Steer Safe given a choice on such a large motorhome however I would consider the Tru Center or Safe-T-Plus. There's just some thing about the springs hanging in the environment that I just don't like. Blue Ox Tru-Center and Safe-T-Plus both feature sealed units. The Tru-Center gives you the option over and about the STP to set directional trim from the driver's seat almost like an aircraft.

I don't think SteerSafe has a unit that fits the Dynasty (Roadmaster) Chassis

I have installed both Safe-T-Plus and TruCenter. I currently have a TruCenter and in my opinion it is the best. It does cost more but is worth the extra expense. We purchased ours at RVupgrades:
Tru Center Steering Stabilizer, 35 Inch, 270 lbs. Preload - Model TC35270 - TC35270

Here are some photos of my TruCenter installation:
Picasa Web Albums - Bob Nodine - TruCenter Ins...#

Good luck,

Bob

Bob, was the installation fairley easy? It looks like from the pics that you installed it or know what they did very well. Thank you for the very nice pics.

Yes, I did the installation myself and did not find it difficult. If you decide to do yours I'll be glad to answer any questions. The TruCenter does come with installation instructions.

Steer safe has a unit for almost anything. They will be at Q and do a great job . IMHO it is one of the simplest and best on the market. Last year we had a rt. front blowout on our other MH and the steer safe kept me out of the ditch. We are going to have one installed on our Dynasty.

The advantage of the Tru Center is besides the assistance with control in case of a blow out, is the ease by which you can adjust for wind or road crown. I think both products work for emergency control, but the Tru Center is superior for the other benefits.

Many are/were leery from past problems with older model Tru Centers, the old units were recalled/replaced and the current models work well with few if any problems. The only thing to remember, when using the adjustment function is to not stay on the button for more than 30 seconds. The 30 seconds is more than enough, but if you stay on it, as in playing around with it, it can burn out the solenoid.

I will say this about the True Center v/s all others...

If, due to road or wind conditions, I need to re-center my True-Center.. All I do is push a button.

Now the instructions say to stop. push the button, turn to the new "Center" and release and go.. I suggest you either A: Follow instructions (Which is not easy to do) or B: if you push that button in motion.. Don't be doing 60 mph (Do it closer to six mph) the first few times.

You see those movies where the novice pilot is told to turn off the auto pilot by the talk-in pilot.... Yup, it's that dramatic.

Now, how about re-centering the others

Pull off, crawl under the coach with hammer and wrenches. Loosen clamps. Hammer to new guessitamated center, re-tighten, drive, find out you hammered wrong way, try again,

Shall I go on.
