I just had a check engine light come on for about 10 minutes, then go back out. Due to the action of my transmission, I had the code checked. Came up as "turbo actuator out of calibration" final result was Cummins replaced the turbo for a $100 deductible on some warranty "Thank God" after the trailing arms earlier this year My repair budget was pretty well tapped. Does anyone have any experience with this repair and any prior indications or improvements I can expect now that the turbo has been replaced? Sure hope one of my benefits will be my transmission shifting issue as Allison says I have "NO" trans problem!

I have a 2007 Scepter with 400 Cummins. Last October Cummins replaced the turbo and CAC under warranty. As with you, my cost was $100 while the actual cost for turbo and CAC was around $6K. I wasn't even aware the turbo was out. Noticed a noise and a little puff od smoke from start. Had coach in for service and they found blown turbo and CAC. Took six weeks to get out of shop due to lack of CAC from Monaco. In August, noticed same symptoms. took coach to Cummins for annual oil service and turbo check. They again replaced turbo but CAC was cleanable. They also put coach on dyno and found no problems with engine that would cause turbo failure.
