I have an 01 Dynasty DP 40'...It has a 20" TV over the drivers seat. Has anyone converted the cabnetry for a flat screen? If so, about how much did it cost (including the TV)????? I guess it's pretty spoiled to be so disadvantaged in having to view a 20 incer!!!

teoff,
When we get home from camping I will post pics of how SacsTC converted our 24" to a 32"LCD for about $750 ...in the meantime you can go to the Monaco Mods section to see the before & after pics. BTW ... the picture on the TV is FABULOUS!!
(also... the after pic is not completely done. He has to finish the cabinet on the bottom)

Did the $750 include the TV or is that just Ron's labor at min wage?
That job looks fantastic. Looking at the before picture, there is a square-tube metal brace/bracket in the opening. Was this existing or an add-on? Looks SIGNIFICANT from a strength standpoint.

Bama...Ron gets "paid" in other ways here !
The $750 was the 32" LCD AND the Articulating arm bracket and a few bolts that Ron maybe had to buy-gotta love COstco!
The metal is significant. Some of it was left to attach the wood backing PLUS... we reused some of the metal..Looking at the next to the last pic showing the back..you will see the silver L metal...that had actually been riveted to the OLD TV to attach it to the oroginal metal. The metal bracket on the back of the wood... (and the front sides also)was on the sides (part of the scissor look)
The main metal tubing weilded in is still there...that is what the backing is attached to.
(please excuse the "girlie" terms used... but I am a female and don't know everything ..but almost!! )

Best Price ... will be at this site...but the manufacturer's site will be here...
manufacturer's site - Vizio products
It had the best color -and from all angles... We also got the Articulating aram there. Both were at the Costco store - we did not buy them online
BTW...<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Vietnam Vet '65, 1st Cav. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>yellow patch with a horse's head above black diagonal?

Dang.. Costco website had the model number in very small print!! It is Model VX32L. I believe it is also the only 32" listed on the Vizio website.
Good Luck and let us know if you get one!

MonacoMama--
Thanks--I did some reading about that brand and they are very well rated and about 1/2 the price of the big guys.
Thanks for the tip.

MonacoMama I love the LCD installation you are doing and would consider the same in my 2006 Journey. My question is what holds the TV back in place on the bracket when you are traveling. Did you make some sort of latch assembly or does it just stay in place.
