Question of the day ! I recently purchased a 2008 Monaco Camelot 42' and it has two antannas on top. I am sure one is for the radio, could the other be for the dvd/entertainment setup ?

One for the radio and one for the CB is standard.

Hucks,
If you look in the console under the shifter pad, you should find the CB antenna cable coiled up.

Are they are both car type antennas? Do you have the outside entertainment option? If so then one is for that radio. I have three on my roof. 1 CB and 2 car type.

The rubber looking one is for the radio and the one (in the center of the cap on our model) with the coil/spring in the center of the whip is for the CB. Don't expect much in the way of performance from the OEM CB antenna. I modified ours by connecting the base of the antenna to the steel frame in the front cap. It is a little better but nothing to write home about. Since we only use our CB to listen to the truckers when there is a traffic problem we live with the poor performance. Many have installed better antennas but I don't like the way they look so have not. I keep the darn thing turned off most of the time. Monaco has also pre-wired a 12V circuit for the CB but it is a bear to find.

probably a pain but can you use a volt meter to ohm the cable. now if the SWR was high it would burn the finals (transmit) but should not hurt transmit
