Sent an email to the list--update on electric issues. Here is the [B]updated version.

Mobile repair man came today and he was going to replace transfer switch--bad news he said it was working. so it's inverter/converter most likely. He had me start the generator and he was testing things when I saw smoke pouring out of the overhead compartment above drivers seat--the DVD player hookups were smoking. He checked voltage--after unplugging DVD and it was 145 so inverter not doing job for sure.
I told him I would just go to Monaco--he thought that was a very good idea since whatever happened is very serious.

Jeffrey called Monaco service in Indiana and soonest date to get it in is October 3rd!!! That is the soonest for any of the 3 locations in Ind. Then it can take from 1-2 weeks to get parts since it's a 2004 model.

Guess I'm in Ohio for a while. good news is that the Heat in Arizona will be gone by the time the "girls" and I get home!

Now I have to go the City to get "approval" to leave the MH in my parent's driveway until Oct 2. Gesh................. What ever happened to PRIVATE property? Not like it's some eyesore or something.

So that is my update--again thank you for good thoughts for my family.

Blessings,
Karen

Sorry to hear you're still having troubles, Karen.

Since y'all are sorta 'living' in the coach, it may be worth a try to let the Indiana-folks know this is an emergency, and you need to get in there sooner.

I'm sure the tech did a good job, but I'm still curious as to why you're getting 145 volts. Was that on gen-set, plugged in to the house-power, or on inverter? There shouldn't be any reason it's that high, unless it's still mis-wired.

Good luck and keep us posted!
Ron

Jeffrey has been handling all of that for me since I have been so busy with helping Mom with Dad's care.
He spoke to Steve who said the soonest was that date because of a Rally and then a show. He told Jeffrey that Rally customers have priority.
It's ok. I am at my parents so I can sleep in the MH and keep stuff in my folks frig, etc. I am not in a crisis.
Guess I am just staying in Ohio longer than I had anticipated. There is a reason for all of this as financially challenging as it may turn out to be.
All happens for a reason................
I'll have alot of new appliances and think we'll have them swap out the flat screen for an LCD flat so Jeffrey won't hit his head anymore

Blessings,
Karen and the mastiff girls who are enjoying the cooler weather but MISSING their swimming pool!

So sorry to hear of your electrical issues, but thank God you found them before a fire started! Good luck with a speedy and hopefully inexpensive repair!
