Update on water pump issue - bad salesman’s switch

I posted last week that my water pump quit while I was taking a shower and replacing the pump didn’t fix it. Turned out to be the salesman’s switch. Checked with voltmeter and found a voltage drop across the switch which worsened as demand increased. Eventually the switch would trip completely.

On a side note the first switch I got was bad but the second one fixed the problem. Thought about bypassing and if it acts up again I probably will.

Very strange why salesman switch should have a negative effect on water pump, salesman switch wires to relay, relay is what carries electrical load not switch. I'm confused. Maybe relay is not pulling all the way in.

Sorry if my wording caused confusion, the relay failed
