I know I asked allot of flooring questions and appreciated the answers. Due to being laid off I had to go the lower cost method and found discontinued Armstrong self stick 12x12 tiles. I added 1/4" sub flooring over the pressboard floor to keep the tiles even with the original hardwood in kitchen and bath. I sanded the melamine paper on the side wales and primed and painted with 2 coats paint. Replaced the blinds with curtains. We changed the layout from the sofa behind the driver to a full sized reclining sofa where the table was and moved it behind the driver. It's only the 2 of us and the dog so a small table works well. My next upgrades will be the front curtains and the tv. I saw what some of you have done and hopefully mine will turn out that good.

Jim,
Nice job! Running the floor tiles up onto the base of the bed is a nice touch.
