I am having to weld one of the cooling fan support rods on our 08 Dynasty. I am trying to take all precautions. I disconnected all the pos. and neg. battery cables. I am having trouble finding the Allison ECU. My manual says it is behind the overhead accss panel in the bay compartment. The rear bay does havea large panel when you look up. I cannot believe that the ECU is hidden up there. There is a ton of tsuff in the way of removing the panel including the vacuum. Even then I do not see any screws unless they are underneath the ozite covering. Am I blind?? Any help appreciated.

Try the driver console to the left of the driver, also when welding try to have the welding machine ground as close to the weld area as possible, I would not be afraid to weld on my coach with all battery cables off and the weld machine ground close to the area to be welded as possible.

My Allison ECU is in the left front outside storage bay under the driver's side. This is where my large fuse panel is located. It's on the right side wall as you're looking in (down low). It's about the size of a Jello box.

Thanks for the replies. Nothing in that front compartment except circuit boards with fuses and relays and the CPU for the VIP system. I dropped part of the " ceiling" in the bay with no tray. Nothing there but when I looked across at the bay with the tray I can see one module mounted to a piece of plwood. Too many wires to see anything else but I suspect it is the ABS module. My manual shows that there should be the ABS module, Allison CPU and some other interface stuff. It is beer time so I will tackle this tomorrow. Thanks again. Not enough Dynasty guys on this board!!!!!
