I am looking to purchase a used diesel pusher coach. I am confused about the different models. Can someone help me out with the "ranking" of the models?
Dynasty vs. Signature vs. Princess vs. etc.
Is one model an upgrade of another model? Which is the more "luxurious"? Which is the econ-box? (If there is such a thing with Monaco) Is there a particular year or drivetrain combo I need to look out for? What is the average life of the Cummins engine? Is a Detriot diesel an option? What about the Cat engine? It seems all are using the Allison trans. Which is better the 4 speed or the five speed or the six speed?
Any help and info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chet

Follow this link and it will show you the ranking of coaches for Monaco...http://www.monaco-online.com/productinfo/index.html

The Signature is suppose to be the Flagship and sits on top. Supposely the Executive (in the Monaco line up) would be the same as the Navigator (in the HR line up) and the Marquis (in the Beaver line up). I don't think Safari has anything that would match up.

I do know where there is a 2007 Dynasty (3rd in the Monaco peeking order) that has most options. It's the Diamond floor plan and has only 14K miles or so on it...Follow this link..http://www.carolinarv.com/index.php?...id=49....Stock number B8018A. This was my old coach and it was a great one. We just traded up to get the bath and a half....I know that you can beat the asking price easily...

Well, I got a super deal on a Holiday Rambler. So I guess that is the ugly stepchild of Monaco?

Ugly stepchild ... funny

It's still a Monaco product and your Endeavor is the twin of the Diplomat, with a few cosmetic differences. Kinda like the difference between a Chevy and GMC pickup.

Enjoy your new ride ..

Actually, the HR brand from Monaco is the most profitable of the entire Monaco line. At the last HR international we were told that HR has 55% of the Monaco Market.

We got a deal on a 1999 HR Endeavor. I ran a CarFax on it and it doesn't seem to have any issues. The drive train has 23,400 miles. The gen set has 130 hours. The interior looks brand new. We shopped long and hard and this is the one. Sometimes new isn't the best deal. There is a "cottage industry" growing. Banks are selling these rigs for payoff. I have seen 2007 units selling for under $50K! But they have little or no usage. We could have bought new but the floor plan was what she wanted. The low miles on the drivetrain was what I wanted. We are off to see the country soon.

Cybervet65,

Good luck with your new rig. We have had ours going on 6 years and it has been a joy to own.
