Used my RV for the first time Queston??

Well I got a chance this weekend to use the (new to us) RV and wow what a difference from our other class A coach which was a 31' Damon Challenger on a Ford Chassis.
Anyway everything seemed to work great and no problems.
I did end up with one question though.. So I have dual slides and the rear one in the bedroom has a illuminated red light switch on the wall. I have no idea what this switch is for. I flipped it on thinking it would become obvious but nothing kicked on that I could tell.
All suggestions are welcome..

Two ideas...
1. water heater electric switch
2. engine heater for cold weather

Water pump? So you do not have to go to the kitchen.

Our overhead light in the bedroom has a red light on it. Because it's right next to a generator switch I figured it was to prevent me from accidentally hitting the generator when I just wanted the light.

Rob the several answers you received are wrong except that one suggested it was the hot water heater. That is what it is for. When you are connected to shore power or your generator is running, and you turn the switch on it will glow red and the hot water heater will then heat water using 110 vac.
