Our 08 Dynasty has been sitting in the garage in Mexico since October. Tuesday we left for Q and at first had the heater on. All was fine. When I switched to AC later in the day all the air was coming out the bottom . Nothing from the dash vents. I switched back and forth with the dial but no matter whether it is heat, AC or just outside air nothing comes out the dash vents. I don't know what Monaco uses to control the flaps that send the air to either top, defrost or bottom. Is it an electric motor or vacuum. If vacuum where is the pump? Is it on the alternator( some trucks do that) or is it just a 12 volt pump? Any help appreciated.

Moisheh,
Pull out the generator and look on the fire wall for a small tank and a vacuum pump. That is where it is located on our coach although it is not a Dynasty. You should be able to track down the pump by following the small rubber line from the flapper valve.

Previous advise is correct. It is located on the firewall, about middle of the coach. If it is bad, you will find a replacement at a Ford dealer, as it is a Ford part. Try a search on this forum and you may find a photo and part number.

First picture is the Accumulator ball.
The second picture is the vacuum pump.
If the motor is working, look for a cracked or loose fitting vacuum hose. The hose is very small and mine do not have clamps where they attach. If the hose is cracked or loose, cut off a short piece if the length will allow and that may fix the problem.

You should be able to check the function with the key in run position once the bells stop sounding. Change the dash control position and listen closely to see if you hear a change inside under the dash. That should happen even though the engine is not running.

That company is now out of business. The ball does not go bad unless it develops a leak which is unlikely. You can take it off and apply just a little pressure to the input and block the output and and submerge it is a tank of water. If no bubbles it is not cracked. If cracked use All Purpose cement obtained in plumbing department of Lowe's that glues all type plastic.
Most likely you have a vacuum line that is cracked where it attaches to the ball, pump, or elsewhere which causes a leak. The vacuum will often just enlarge enough for air to be drawn in at the wrong time.
