Valid Leveling 4 Pack and 6 Pack Reseal

Due to leakage I decided to tear down my Valid solenoid blocks. I did the tag axle several years ago but forgot what was involved. It is buried where an Orangutan is needed but by removing the drive wheels it was fairly accessible. Those wheels seem to have gained weight!

Here is the problem area, all of that dirt!


What I would like to know is if you can replace those seals on the ends of the plungers?? I see some photos are missing but I will have to repair that tomorrow..

Using my home made tool to remove solenoids. I drilled the nut and use two drill bits for removal.

Plunger Dimensions. I think the red plunger tip gets dirty and leaks. It would be nice to find those tips. I cleaned the plungers.

It cured the listing to the right but started to list to the left.
I went back there to do a leak check and heard hissing from the middle rear airbag which now has a hole in it. I was planning on replacing them but hadn't ordered them until just now. A front bag had a leak a few months ago. Finditparts had 5 in stock so that will be next weeks project.

Wow! You are ambitious and knowledgeable. I am ambitious too, but lack the knowledge to tackle that job.

Could you tell me how you raised and supported the coach, while you were under it?

I know what you mean about the weight of the tire and wheel. I recently had my tag tire plugged, as it had a slow leak. The young man who did it for me, handled the wheel rather easily. When I grabbed it to just to get a feel of it’s weight, I felt embarrassed at how difficult it was for me to lift it. Getting old isn’t for the faint of heart.

I lifted it with a 22 ton pneumatic jack and supported it with a couple of 12 ton jack stands. That replaced the support the tire provided. To support the air suspension I lift the air springs as high as they go and place a piece of 5.5" drill pipe cut to length on each side.

It's not going anywhere.
