Van,
I see it now. It just took me a little time to study.

I am installing my rear X braces tonight. I plan on doing the sway test before and after.

You got mail.

Walt,

Did you use this P Rod Stiffner on the front or rear P Rod ?

I have read almost this entire thread and I think I understand what Van is saying. I was directed here from another site because we have steering issues. We have a 2000 Dynasty 39.5 in length. and we aren't happy with how it steers in the wind and on bad roads. On good road we are okay except getting pushed by trucks. Is there a way on this forum to send a private message to Van?? I would like to speak to him on the phone before we take our coach to Henderson Lineup in Oregon next week.

Nana one of the first Van will want to know is what stering gear does your coach, Shepard 100 or TRW. The shepard can not be adjusted on the coach it has to be sent to a rebuilder the TRW can be adjusted. Van has a 2000 Dyn with a TRW and i have 2000 Dyn with a Shepard 100 .

Nana,

I'll be happy to talk to you about your coach. I'll try to send you a private email.

Walt, FWIW I have the original build sheet on my 2000 Windsor, it has serial numbers for every appliance, engine, transmission, etc. However it doesn't state what steering box is in it. I was lucky enough I guess to have the adjustable box. However I haven't needed to adjust it.

Nana,

At the risk of being flamed, let me assure you that alignment will have no effect on your problem. During the alignment process, it is possible that some loose steering components may be found, and that could help. But I doubt that, also.

Adjusting your steering gear, if it exhibits any lost motion, will have an effect on your problem, sometimes a huge effect. Adjusting it is quite simple. And free.

I have sent you a private email.
