I get a warning bell when I put the coach into gear. This is after I have warmed it up and all the other tones have stopped. There is no warning light that accompanies this tone. It will stop after I roll about 20 yards. Any ideas what this could be? I have checked the tranny fluid. Good. Air pressure is good.

look down at your levler controller and see if it is blinking while the bell is ringing. Maybe low level of fluid in your reservor. Hope this helps.

I get the same thing from time to time. Sometimes the same bell sounds while driving then stops. Never a warning light to go with it.

If it's a bell, it might be parking brake controller...if it is going BEEP BEEP BEEP...then it could be the level of hydraulic fluid for the jacks/slides.

There is an air pressure switch on the Park Brake. It is known to fail. The switch can easily be replaced and is made by Nason, but they do not sell direct.

Order from one of the following Nason Distributors
Cross Company 866-219-8217
Sunsource 800-228-5800
Flow Dynamics 205-581-1200
Hydraulic Energy Products 800-800-3471
Fluid Power Equipment Co., 877-471-8999

air pressure switch - Nason SM-1C66R/WP28

Would be a good idea to chock your wheels before you start working on this. If the park brake is in your side panel, be aware the nuts (see picture) will fall off if you do not hold them and they are hard to reach. The screw on mine is a very small Allen type. If you remove all the screws in the side panel and lift it up you may be able to remove the Nason switch without removing the park brake from the panel.

Thank you for the replies. It is a bell tone but no lights are coming on. Checked the hydro level and its good. I am wondering if it maybe the air pressure switch as suggested by REX? Is there a way to test it prior to replacing it?

Sometimes you can reset the park brake and the pressure switch will start working again. It does not fail all at once in most cases. It will fail to work, then start working then next time you set the break. Often it will cause the alarm bell and then when you start driving the bell will stop. Evidently the jarring from a little driving causes the switch to start working. It will get worse with continued use and will eventually fail completely.
