I'm new to the forum so if I make any mistakes...let me know. I have an '01 Monaco Dynasty. When I turn the key on the Red warning lights sometimes don't go on . If I turn the key off and on, I can get them to come on. It seems to be getting worse. Thanks, Wayno

Welcome... Do you mean the whole panel ? If they are the warning lights, why would you want them on. If you mean when you turn the key to start and no lights come on, then I would think there must a short in the switch. You'll get other better responses.
Again Welcome.... D

Need a little more information. When the lights do not come on, do you still hear the gong going off as normal or is it also silent? If it is silent, then the problem may be with the switch itself.

The switch can be purchased locally at an auto parts store and is from a Chevy. It takes a special tool to loosen the bezel around it and there is a trick to removing the key tumbler itself first. If you should need to do that let us know here and I will post that information.

If its not the ignition switch change out the ignition solenoid in drivers side front electronics bay. I have a similar problem that only occurs in cold weather. The engine starts but several warning lights stay on. The usual clicking sequence is missing. The solenoid is my guess but have not gotten around to changing it out. A 12V continuous duty golf car solenoid should work.
