I'll be winterizing my RV in a couple of days, so have been reading through the manual to understand the process. One of the steps is to remove the water filter and install a "bypass". I don't seem to have one of these... and called the Monaco parts department... they don't seem to have one either. Do any of you know what this looks like... and where I can get one?

Thanks,

Ron

Check here RV Water Filter Store: Cartridges for Everpure Filters ..they have one pictured. I buy my sediment and Everpure filters, and other fresh water items from them. Another for about the same price here RVUpgradeStore - Water Filters & Cartridges

You can simply remove filter and let the canister fill with pink stuff.

Everpure ADC filter ...the filter IS the canister. That is why you need a bypass plug in place if you want to push water through with no filter...

RonaldNC......On mine....it's just a piece of tubing with the same ends as the filter. You install the tubing just like a filter and run antifreeze through it.

You go to Home Depot and buy a 6ft section of 1/2 PEX tubing and two PEX fittings or the correct sex with the Rhino self clamping device on them. (They will show you). Look at your filter setup first and see if you need male or female fittings. The actual bypass will end up being right about a foot long. It is so easy to do. I just made one. The trick is the two end fitting have to have that self clamping device incorporated in them. You cannot use a hose clamp because it will blow off. Turn your pump off and open the system drain. Not the tank drain to relieve the pressure and put the bypass in. Then you can take the filter containers off and store them for the winter.
