Water Heater Drain

Anyone have a source for a plastic drain valve that will fit on the water heater and still be able to close the door? Would prefer not to use steel because of the dis-similar metal problem.

You should be able to get what you need at Lowes or any plumbing store. Just need a short threaded coupler and pvc cutoff

You can purchase 1/4 turn brass 45 degree valves that fit without any adapters at Lowes and Home Depot. They are small enough and short enough that you can close the door. You have to remove the handle while you install it.
