Water hose reel.

Can the 12V motor which turns the hose reel be reversed?
I would prefer the hose to wind over top instead of under the bottom.
There are just 2 wires, (red and black) with the red wire switched by the push button.
Thanks.

With wiring perhaps:

Or you could flip the motor 180 degrees if you have the room to do it and leave the wiring alone.

Just check to see if there is any type of ratcheting mechanism on the reel that might be a problem if you try to operate the reel in the reverse direction. Such as a free spooling clutch that only operates in one direction.

I moved mine 180 degrees. Honestly, I never thought about reversing the wires until about a week ago!
I have not tried it yet.
Keep us informed!

I have tried switching wires and it didn't make a difference. It kept turning the same way. Mine only has wind up and free wheels on the way out. Also the way the hose connects will not work going the other way cause it comes in on the angle that it winds up.

Thanks! I'll leave mine 180 out then.

Okay, thanks.
I guess I don't need to try to change the wires.
