The last 3 days we have had incredible rain in Long Island NY. I went to check my 36' 2001 Dynasty (one front slide). I discovered a leak coming from the wood AC vent over the rear bed (DARN). It has not leaked this whole winter but I suppose this rain torrent finally did it. When I checked last about 2 weeks ago everything was dry.
When I put my coach into storage I lowered the air bags and it has a pronounced drop in the rear, in fact the rear cross coach dust guard is touching the ground.
When the rain stops I will attempt to dry the mattress. I was thinking about a mention a while back that the ACs must be tightened down every once in a while?
Does anybody have any thoughts or suggestions?
thanks
Robert

Robert, loosen all the bolts to allow the gasket to expanded for about 30 minutes. Then put a little locktite on each bolt and tighten it just snug, then 1 & 1/2 turn more or about 30 inch pounds - NOT FOOT pounds. That should do it. Each year do the same thing again.

Thanks Rex for your response.
I have good news and bad news. The good news is the integrity of my roof is secure and the source of my leak has been found, the bad news is I need a replacement roof A/C cover. Evidently the rain we had accompanied by winds of 72mph was enough to launch the cover about twenty feet. I located it in the bushes at the edge of the Storage Yard. I will need a new one. The A/C is a Duo-Therm Penguin mod 630515.
Does anyone know of any good sources for a replacement?
Robert
