I begin to notice a bad taste to the water from my coach water tank so I went through the process of purifying the water with chlorine but the water still had a bad taste. I have a coach filter that all the water goes through, I removed it and replaced it with the bypass tube and noticed a brown stain in the filter so I decried to leave it off and replace it with an external filter at the water source. I finished the process and still had the bad taste so I purified it again with the same results. How can I get this bad taste out of my water, we have bottled water always but brushing teeth and stuff is from the tanks. Ideas Please. I wonder if I am using enough chlorine?

Where I am parked.. I'm going to suggest to the park manager that he "Spot Check" the water using the swimming pool chlorine test kit.

Yup, It's tasting like Bleach again.

One other question, I have reinstalled the coach water filter and sanitized the system and the taste is gone, I made the decision to drink bottled water. As I went through this process I realized the amount of time needed to replace the water filter because of poor planning on the manufactures part. I am sure if your coach is like mine the filter is stored behind the water heater and the only access is thought a small door in the back storage bay, just enough room to extend one arm to loosen and tighten the filter case while laying on your back if you are right handed on the floor of the bay. To winterize I removed the water filter canister and installed a short piece of water line to close the loop that one might blow out the water in the system after the filter. This can only be accomplished by sheer luck. I have tried every way to get into the filter department with short of taking the water heater out. Is there a better way or would you just bypass the filter and filter water at the source or is this price we pay to enjoy travel with skinned and cut hands.
