I'm moving my couches on a 2005 Diplomat PDQ. When I pulled the foldout couch from the road side slide, I found a white plastic cap which covers a quarter size hole with an electrical cord and plug right at the floor under the window. I'll take some pictures when I go back to finish up my work today.
Anybody have one of these and know what the electrical plug is for??

Only guessing, however it may be for an optional powered sofa-bed. My '92 Airstream Landyacht had one. Or could it be for a different option that would come with the Diplomat PDQ such as computer table, etc?

Here are the pictures of the plug. Seems likely that it's for a 12 volt accessory. I do think Monaco picked an odd choice of cover for this plug. So I'm thinking of ways to cover this that would be more attractive when we have two chairs here instead of a couch.

After seeing the plug, they are used throughout the coach for generally 12 volt connections. So I would imagine that there may be an optional item that would be installed somewhere close to that location and if not used they cover it. My suggestion would be to secure the plug inside the hole so that you could retrieve it for future use if needed. Then design or purchase an attractive flat cover to go over the holes, large and small to hide it from view.

Any chance it's for the subwoofer option for the surround sound system?

The subwoofer is in the cabinet under the table just behind this location. Next time I'm in it I'll check it for power. I'll bet Dr4Film is correct and it's 12volt power. Don't know why I didn't put a tester on it when i was playing with it.

One of the Euro-Recliner options Monaco uses has a massage feature. Possibly the plug is a power source for that feature.

I have the computer desk option with the Euro-Recliner. The Euro-Recliner uses 110v. The cabinet in that area has a 110v. 12v and a telephone jack. Maybe the 12v is for that?

Thanks all. I'm trying to decide if I want to find a flat cover for this or if I want to run a strip of decorative molding across this section to hide the hole.
