With all the experts out there, I'll bet someone will know if I can get my backup monitor to output to my PC. I checked with Weldex and they didn't have a clue (I guess that is because they sell monitors). My Weldex monitor is in a position on my dash that is almost impossible to see and use my PC on the dash to display GPS info and VMSPc data. It would also be nice to be able to have the back up monitor display on the PC when needed.

I'd be interested it that as well. The monitor is positioned right behind the right pillar of the steering wheel which pretty much renders the monitor useless. With all the cool innovation Monaco built into our coach(s), one has to wonder if the engineer that determined that position was "on something".

On edit, here's what I see, except it's a little worse from the driver's seat:

Flyer,
There are several scan converters that will do the job. A quick search on available USB converter yielded this:

Firewire is another option.

You can also install another monitor and slave off the Aladdin module which has several composite outputs. If you don't have the Aladdins system you could possibly split off the video from the Weldex or the Voyager. I mounted another monitor to the left side of the drivers position visually in-line with the bottome edge of the rear-view mirror. Others have done this as well. Others have moved their monitor from the dash to another location that provided better viewing. The hole can be filled with a blank panel or you can add some sort of storage tray as well as moving the AC vent that hits your right knee. I think Ronboc did this. Robin mounted a monitor on the right side of the dash panel above the current monitor.

WHAT WAS MONACO THINKING!!!!!!

That is a horrible position for that monitor. That was one of the only things I didn't like about the Diplomats we were looking at. I couldn't believe someone at the plant didn't say "hey - wait - you can't see anything!".

I will echo Sixpack's statement about installing another monitor. Laptops seem to be pretty good about sending video out, but a bit more convoluted about accepting it in. I picked up a little 6.5" flat panel color monitor that I use for a variety of things, one of which is to use it as a backup display when my backup camera monitor was going south on me.

The little flat screen can easily mount about anywhere that is convenient, and very easy to hook up - just a 12V power supply and the RCA connection in. You should be able to find a decent one on Ebay.

I agree that where they put in on the Endeavor is awfull. Actually, as you can see here, the 07 placement on the Dip is not that bad. I left the rear view monitor where it was. The "monitor" above it is actually my Garmin SP7200 GPS. Over on the left side I added another small monitor to display the data from the Aladdin system.

This is where I installed an additional monitor and GPS as well. Both are slightly below the sightline of the rearview mirror which really helps your eyes on the road.
