Hello,
With this recent spell of cold weather had to turn on the water bay heater to keep from rewinterizeing. Found that a little wire inside the heater itself had broke and I was able to solder it but I don't think it will hold.
Does anyone know who makes these for Monaco? I looked on the unit itself but see no manufacturing names. I would like to order it online if possible and thought someone might lead me in the right direction before I give Monaco a call.

I can't get to the paperwork for the various appliances right now, but I do remember googling "12volt heaters" awhile back and coming up with one that looked almost exactly like what Monaco is using. Seems like it was rated at 300 watts or similar, and there were several to choose from.

However, if'n you want an exact-replacement, maybe give the Monaco Parts folks a call.

HTH,
Ron

Well, I just happen to have a recall notice on my bay heater (original equipment) from May 2006. 2004 Monaco Diplomat. The recall has to do with the thermostat. Anyway, the recall is from ThermTech, 2879 Remico St SW, Grandville, MI 49418, Tel. 616-530-6540, Fax 616-530-6547

This should be all the info you need.

Interesting topic that caught my eye...I recently bought an 01 Monaco Dynasty DP...no one told me about a bay heater...I don't recall seeing anything in all the literature that came with the coach, but will look closer tomorrow. Anyone know if the 01 models came with one, and if so, where is it and how is it turned on/off????

bg1811,
Hey thanks a lot. Interesting information and contact numbers. Just what I was looking for. I'll give them a call and ask them also about the recall since our motorhome is an 04.
Thats why I love this forum.
Thanks again,
Letsgoagain

Bruce,

My '01 Dip has one. Two "on" switches. One in the front cabinet over the passenger seat -- next to the compartment light switch and a second one in the wet bay.

Green lights and soft breezes,
