What does this switch do?

I have this switch on my drivers seat that doesnt seem to work. Its right behind the switch that moves the seat forward and back. Does anybody recognize this and tell me what it does so that I can research maybe why it does not work?

Was it oriented front to back or up/down? Look under the seat and watch operation of the seat. Is there a second motor to raise/lower seat? Perhaps tilt seat bottom, or recline seat back? If you think it's the switch, try a wire jumper from 12 v supply to one of the other wires in the connector. If no 12 v power in any of the connectors, check fuses.

On my coach it moves the "seat" portion forward and rearward in relation to the back of the seat. It allow adjustment of the seat for folks with different length legs.

Seat Switch

If it wasn't hooked up to any wires it may be for the foot rest that is not usually installed on the driver's seat. I only have it on the co-pilot seat and it controls the foot rest.

If there's no plug or wires hanging down, I'd say they installed an extra switch for nothing. Keep it as a spare if one of the others fail.

On my coach, that switch activates the lift/store of the foot rest (co-pilot seat only).

Same as Playtime on the co-pilot seat only. It should be obvious that the driver does not need a foot rest!

Thanks everybody..the switch is oriented as in the picture, left to right arrows. I will double check tonite, but was sure there were wires hooked to it. I have buttons right next to it that move the seat back and forth/up and down. Maybe its some type of lumbar support as suggested, or the moving of the seat forward in relation to the back (that would be great as I am tall and the seat seems a little short in length). Will have to get the meter out and get testing I guess...

Think of your favorite recliner chair when you pull the lever to lean back and the foot rest pops up for your feet to rest on. Same thing here except the foot rest is extended by an electric motor and comes out slowly. When the foot rest extends no other part of the chair moves and the back keeps the same position. Since the driver's seat does not have a foot rest you are not expecting one to be present at the passenger seat.

We have the exact same switch which activates the lumbar support. It is slow and silent but much appreciated adjustment. Let us know.
