I realize that each coach is different, but just as a baseline until I can get my motorhome weighed, can anyone with a similar motorhome to mine tell me what your corner/axle weights are? I have a 2002 Monaco Diplomat 36PBD.

Also, what tire pressure(s) are you running? Monaco says 115 up front and 100 in the back but I'm under the impression that is for a full loaded coach?

mport68.....I have a 2005 36SKT. I don't have a four corner weight, but the coach weighs in at about 28600 loaded. I would have to go look, but I believe the front axle came in around 10000 pounds. I run 105 psi in the front and 95 psi in the rear. I've tried a lot of different pressures over the years and these seem to work best between ride and tire wear.

True, and, until you get it weighed that's what you should run. There is no way to know if you're overloaded on one wheel or one axle till you do get it weighed.

Diplomat Don - Thanks for the info. I suspect our coaches are similar enough that the weights are about the same. The previous owner ran/recommended air pressures slightly less than yours so I was suspect of the numbers.

Mr_D - You're exactly right, except that I neglected to mention that the previous owner of my coach had it weighed and, using the tire manufacturers pressure recommendations for those weights came up with numbers less than the max values. Regardless, my loaded weight will likely be different and consequently I intend to weigh it again.

Thanks for the responses!

mport68....The weights on my coach actually call for the rears to run at 85 psi and the fronts around 95 psi. I can't qoute the source, but read that running an additional 5 pounds on the GoodYear G670's helped reduce rivering and wear on the outer edges because of their tread design. I actually could smell an odor of rubber when I ran the lighter air pressures, indicating the tires were probably running a little hot.

I've fluctuated back and forth between 100 & 105 on the fronts searching for the best ride. The tire wear is obviously better at 105 and now that I have the sway bars, the ride is smoother so I leave them at 105.

I found on my coach, the ride height made a huge difference in ride quality. Make sure you check yours once a year.
