First off, I am not slamming my Monaco. Love the coach even with the challanges it has offered lately. On our Thanksgiving trip we lost the fuel shut-off solenoid (fifth one), the water pump stopped pumping, the CD changer went kaput (actually it was already kaput, just cannot find a direct changeout for the unit), the antenna stopped racking back into the bracket and at one point, the inverter was blinking out the "Call the factory" code! I 'think' high voltage in the park caused the inveter to lock out (263V leg-to-leg!) and 133V at the receptacles! Oh, and not to be left off the misery list, my windshield gasket has to be replaced.
All this BS and I still enjoyed the trip. Natchez Trace State Park, TN, is a beautiful facility (with verrry good voltage).
Happy Camping 2 Yew!

I shouldn't have asked "What Else"! The tie-rod end also has to be replaced. Man, when it rains!
That said and all the fussing I have done in private, I still wouldn't trade my Moneyco for a settin' hen and a box of speckled puppies!

Gee, Ron. I haven't heard that one in a mama-coon-dog's age (I'd go into a few more, but it would probably show either my age or my kind of upbringing).
As far as 'what else could go wrong?', I'm sure you've seen the movie RV with Robin Williams et al .... nuff said!

Yep, if you understood that one you're either on the "wrong" side of the half-century mark, or you be frum Mississippi (which I am BTW). :-)

I'll just say I'm not from Mississippi, and leave it at that. (Do love the state, though)

Ahhh, the continuing saga. This morning the service tech called me and said I needed to take a look at "something". He pointed out a rock-chip in the glass and said there was a strong possibility that it would crack like crazy when they removed it for gasket replacement. DOH!
Now, does anyone know where Monaco hid the black box for the water pump? Picture shows a item about the size of a postit-note pad, black in color and with several wires plugging in to it. It would have been so simple to just route all the pump switches to one relay and make them on/off instead of momentary contact units. :-)

Bummer on the glass-chip, dude. I was at the Wildwood facility last week and watched 2 techs try to remove a windshield. Even though they took a lot of care, and made sure the gasket was released everywhere and used several of those giant suction cups to lift the windshield itself, it still cracked. The lead tech said it's a gamble when you got that much glass surface to move all at once. I'm not saying yours will crack, or trying to make ya feel bad about it, but it's just one more fact of owning one of these things. Here's hoping yours is a good one.
My wife reminds me everytime I gripe about something in ours that it would sure be simpler if we had a tent again. That is guaranteed to shut me up immediately!!
IIRC, my pump-controller is also as gizmo said in the wet-bay, and is screwed up high right next to the frame (but it's been a long time since I was in there). It is probably an Intellitec product, so maybe look for that (not that there's a zillion little boxes in there anyways to confuse ya). You may have to remove that big white plastic panel to get to the tanks & box area. What's yours doing/not doing?
Thanks!
Ron

Hi RonNBama, not trying to hijack your thread, but I have a trip planned to Florence, AL in mid-Dec to attend the NCAA Div II national football championship at Northern Alabama's stadium. I'm looking for an RV park in the area. The closest one I can find on the Good Sam's website is in Tuscumbia. I thought you might be able to give me some tips here?
TIA!

Ronboc, the worst happened (of course) the crack propogated and the replacement glass will (maybe) be here in time to allow the planned Christmas trip. But, when I consider the time we spent in a little dome tent (although I wouldn't take anything for the experience), I'll take my lumps and carry on.
Bigred1, I have driven through that area a number of times but have never camped there. We hit Desoto or Guntersville State Parks east of Huntsville. Sorry I could not be of assistance. :-(

Ron, no problem. I called an RV dealer in Florence and got several references. McFarland Park is right on the river and it's city owned and operated. It sounds like they've done a lot of work on it and it's big rig friendly with pull throughs and 50A service.
Thanks,

Cool. Enjoy the game. Be prepared for a UNA victory though. Hope you are a fan. :-)
I have a buddy in Florence who keeps his RV at a local marina. I'll ask him about campgrounds too. I figure McFarland Park will be your best bet though. Have fun.
