OK, Mark. Now quit that teasing. Almost makes me want to tear out the entire floorplan and put in a proper home theater system as it is.

Wife suggested maybe we just get a big-enough enclosed trailer to house the electronic toys instead. Oh, what music to my ears that was! (no pun intended).

Ronboc. Wishful thinking. You would need 2 monoblocks to drive 'em. Something like an Adcom GFA-585 or a Parasound Halo. Finally got rid of the POS RCA and put in an old Yamaha RXV 1000 and Gallo spheres to replace the really shrill front 3.

Flyer..
Well DUUUH.. If I wouold have noticed the link instead of concentrating on what the "A visual--and it's not a "box" of scotch." message...I may have seen the link
My blender/food processor is in that cabinet..and it is silver & glass...but that big old box is over near our kitchen sink also.
Once everything is close to being done ..I will post a new modification that Sacs is doing as my Christmas present...and I will tell you..it is smaller than Ronboc's "new system" ...and I am losing two drawers (gladly) for this thing! Now then ...where will all those speakers go!

So I am not the only one to find the RCA less than desirable! I hate the way the DVD controls operate and have plans to chuck the thing also.

My RCA DVD resides in a landfill near Florence, OR. The mess of wires that connected it to the speakers scattered across the ceiling(and under our dinette) are still stuffed up in the cabinet over the drivers seat just waiting to be connected to a compact surround replacement. Anybody have any good ideas...?

Thanks to RonBoc we just gained some valuable storage under our dinette and have a candidate for a landfill near our next stop in Palm Springs, CA.

Hmmm.....replacing the subwoofer may be a good first project. Can you use the same wires that came with the old one and still get better base without having to go to an AC plug-in style?

Also, does anyone else have problems with thier dinky little Magnadyne controller. We have to dig our fingernails into the little keys to make the DVD do what we want. What a pain. I've got to see if that extra SONY controller we have works for the Magnadyne. It has REAL buttons.
