What Is This ?

Our 06 Endeavor lost the battle with hurricane irma (due to flooding up to the top of the wheelwells) , so we're looking around for another coach.

Came across an '08 Camelot. The daughter is trying to sell it for her late parents, and she knows almost nothing about the coach.

This photo is of the dashboard, and I'm puzzled by the big display across the bottom. The operator manual doesn't address it at all, how to reset the trip odometers (why are they all 9's? Just not reset, or broken?), or what little indicators are in it. Any help?

I'll probably have a bunch more questions as we dig into things, so please bear with me.

Thanks!

Probably nothing wrong with it. They just didn't use the last three tripometers and they maxed out.

What model Camelot? I have a 2008 42PDQ and it doesn't have a digital readout like that?

Our 08 Beaver has that as well as an Aladdin jr.
One of the buttons on the display should toggle between views.

I took the feed off of the back camera and ran it to a dedicated 7" tft screen mounted on the dash. Easier to see, use and read. Now I also have a full screen for back up camera. Click image for larger version

From page 199 of the Owner's Manual:

5. LCD Display:
Displays odometer mileage, trip meters
and transmission temperature. Use the
select button to change views.

6. SELECT BUTTON:
The select button, located below the
speedometer, is used to switch between
the odometer, trip meters and the
transmission temperature. Select trip
meter and hold the trip button down
for three seconds to reset. Hold the
button down for three seconds when
the odometer mileage is displayed to
change values from English to Metric.

I've downloaded the Owner's Manual from this site: Monaco RV Owners Manuals and use the search function in my .pdf viewer. Makes it easy to find key words in the manual. Much easier than thumbing thru 274 pages.

Take care,
Stu

Amen - It's an '08 40PDQ Camelot.

Captjake1 - if there was buttons on that panel, I missed them. I'll try looking in the Beaver manual.

777Driver -I saw that page in the manual, but best I can determine is they're talking about the little LCD display that's part of the speedo itself.

Seems the manual is a bit too generic at times, and I'm hoping to get some detailed feedback from y'all. I tried to take lotsa photos, but always miss something.

Thanks!

That is called a "Message Center". I have one.

The 999's are just the limits of four legs you can track. Each can be reset individually.
The Message center is an excellent piece of equipment. It will give you all kinds of information such as oil pressure, boost pressure, fuel mileage, and lots of other things. I will dig up my manual and post it.

Thanks Jake, found the detailed dash info in your Contessa manual. What's weird is that it looks like there's more info in your manual that pertains to the Camelot that in the Camelot manual.

"Snowflakes" for sure!!!

Thanks, YC1. Wow, a separate downloadable section, how simple it could be.

Why do they make us hunt for needles in hay-stacks????

Reminds me of a prof I had back in one Circuit-Theory class. He sometimes had one scenario or problem in a test that was unsolvable with the info given - and if you did manage to 'solve' it, you lost all credit for the entire test. Never did understand what that was supposed to realistically prove other than to waste time.

The oil pressure reading has given me solace when my steam guage occasionaly goes bonkers and goes to zero for a couple of seconds.

There is a loud beeper in the thing and I taped over it to quiet it down.

The mpg readings are spot on. Transmission and engine temps are excellent and provide confidence when pulling long hills or finding a thermostat that has decided to go south.
