I just purchased a 2004 Diplomat. I was sitting in the drivers seat and noticed a small round grey dial under the dash next to the steering column. It has 2 wires coming from the back of it. The round dial looks like a gear. There is a locking key with a small wire attached holding it in place.

Does anyone have any idea what this is. I have looked through all the documentation I have and found nothing about it.

Thanks in advance.

Jerry

It sounds like the plug in for accessing the chassis diagnostic port. That's where a tech would plug in his laptop and where devices like my VMSpc taps into the chassis computer. I have another located back in my engine compartment.
