What material is on your Entry Steps?
My Beaver has some sort of outdoor carpeting on the entry steps.
It doesn't look very nice and I need to replace it with something fitting a high-end coach.
What did the factory (Beaver/Monaco) use on these steps?
What do you have on your steps?

My Navigator uses this type black rubber coin type flooring...it is bullet proof and that is the area of my coach that takes the real beating. Looks nice , not slippery , and again almost bullet proof.

We are more concerned about tracking debris into the coach than how it looks when the door is opened. In our climate where there is lots of rain, slipping on tile or other potentially slippery surfaces with wet shoe bottoms would be a concern, from the safety and liability perspectives.

So, put in non slippery tile, my entryway and whole floor (other than bedroom) is that way.

Having said that, we really like the idea of replacing our carpet on the risers with either tile or laminate wood. Great job!

Looks like Captjake and RobRoy have the same type of rubber flooring.
Thanks for the link.
It looks better than the carpeting I have now, which is fraying badly on the edges.

Several of us used the rubber stair tread from:

The color is Marble Gray, which is actually tan. Bill Willard was the guinea pig for the tread and the color. He got it right, and the rest of us followed.

Those rubber coverings from allstairtread look like a winner.
Do you remember which adhesive you used?
I assume I will be glueing it down over the factory rubber tread (which I think is under that carpeting).

This is our original steps.
A couple weeks ago, I just finished up this.
Materials are Berke products. Available in a lot of colors and styles.
I had to tear everything off down to the plywood.

I followed Bill Willard, Harry using same tread link Harry provided. I kicked it up a notch. Old stairs bottom picture.

Mike, rip out carpet and old black treads/risers. Get done to the wood and clean the old glue, sanding if necessary. Bill and I both used the Original Weldwood contact adhesive.
Then he had a colored caulk for the seams where the tread met the riser. Maybe he will chime in with the product.
