I have been without A/C in my dash for many years. I simply havn't had much occasion to use it. Next summer I will need it due to the geography and time of year I will be be in.

What type of facility would I get the most skilled techs to address the job. Cummins Coach Care, a large truck service facility(ie. Freightliner) or is there another kind of facility I am over looking? A wild guess makes me think the compressor may be gone plus there is an electrical lead that was off the clutch-putting it back on didn't do anything. ANyway, I don't have the knowledge to trouble shoot it myself so could use some advise on where to take it. Thanks.

Basically it is a standard automotive system. Find a good specialty AC shop that you can get your coach into and they should be able to check it out and fix anything needed.

Problem with any system like this is lack of use. The compressor seals dry out from lack of use and that is one of the major causes of failure. Just turning it on once a month for 30 minutes can prevent this.

You may have to help the shop find the air dryer and cooling fan on your coach as they likely will not know where it is unless they service lots of RVs.

Your a/c is exactly like an auto's, in fact, most of the parts are Ford or Chevy. It just happens to have VERY long hoses. I would try to find an a/c guy

My local RV shop just serviced mine and did a great job. The big difference with DP is the length of the lines. If they develop a leak you need a very small double jointed mechanic to crawl through and find the leaking dye.
