What's It Really Worth?

I've decided to downsize my 40' Executive to a comparable 36'er with more slides (Dynasty maybe?). I thought about trading it in to avoid the hassles but not many dealers want a '98 MH and won't give me the value I need for it. So now it's time to come up with a "real world" price to list it. I priced on the NADA web site and it books out at around $78,000 for average. I would think that mine would be worth a bit more with only 57,000 miles but not sure if that's a factor. So how do you come up with a figure for listing your MH? Not too many on the RV Trader sites to compare and they are all over the board on prices. I want to sell it but not going to take a bath doing it. I'd rather keep it than give it away. It's been to good to us these last 10 years.
Any thoughts on what it's worth? Thanks

On NADA advanced search it says mileage not a factor on diesel coach. That doesn't help you. The real value is what a buyer will pay. Consignment dealer told me once that listing at NADA will get very few,if any offers. Buyers check NADA and are looking for bargains. If you really want to get offers list it 10% below average and be prepared to accept less. If that is cheaper than you want to sell for then keep what you have. JMHO

Look at the sold units on PPLs web site. This '02 Executive sold about one year ago for $88k.

I had the same problem with selling a boat. What I wanted to get, ( under Blue Book ) wasn't near, what the offers were.

I eventually found a buyer looking for my particular model of boat, and got a fair offer.

It took 2 1/2, years

I've been doing a LOT of searching over the past two years. I've watched 98 Executives sit for sale at the $50,000 price point. I've watched the owner's re-up the ads and slowly move their pricing down.

That said, I just bought a 97 Signature for $29k.

The type of RV you are wanting to buy is one of the reasons the value of yours is not that high, no slides. Most buyers now want slides, the higher number of slides will bring a higher price.

My guess it's value is ~$60-65K if you can find the right buyer.

There's a 2001 listed on ebay for a $75k buy it now price.

The NADA is an important number if the buyer is trying to get financing.
