When I removed the front TV in order to install a new flat screen in our 04 Imperial I noticed a coax splitter screwed to the cabinet wall on the passenger side. The input is a dark grey and the two outputs are lighter. all three go into the overhead above the TV box. I can't tell where they go. The Sat dome coax comes in thru a port in the roof so it isn't them as near as I can tell. Anyone got an idea?

That's an AM antenna as far as I can see.

I think it may be a feed for the FM antenna on the A/V receiver

That should be an AM antenna. Follow the lead to your receiver and see if it is connected to a couple of screw posts. The label by those posts will tell you what it is amplifying.

I think he's asking about the splitter. It's usually to split the signal to rear of the coach. One to the bedroom tv and the other to the outside cargo bay tv outlet. The input usually comes from the video signal box with the push buttons on it.

Pusherpilot are you referring to the splitter in the lower right side of the picture?

The way the splitter is connected the dark grey cable is typically the source and probably comes from one of the sources of video. The 2 outputs would be to one of your tvs, or possibly a video switch if your rv has one. Put your tvs on switch your tv source between dvd, vcr, antenna. While you have them on disconnect the cable you'll find out where they feed to when you lose the picture.

Yeah it is the splitter on the lower right of the pix. I can go thru all the troubleshooting OK. I was just hoping that someone knew what it was without going thru all the motions. It defys logic in that it is mounted low in the cabinet and the coax all goes thru the overhead to god knows where. The guy that mounted the splitter even put two screws in to secure it! While I'm waiting for the TV to come I'll dope it out. Got my curious Jones workin.

I think I've ID'd it. One of the coax on the output side of the splitter goes to the Winegard video switch to the Ant in position. I suspect the input to the splitter comes directly from the rooftop crank up antenna. I don't know where the other output from the splitter goes but i don't really care right now.
