I have been digging around my new Knight and have found some things I wonder about.

My G/F laughed at me for having the dash pulled apart within two weeks of ownership. She tolerates me.

This is a view inside the false access door on the curb side, just forward of the rear wheels. Access to the tanks, water heater, lpg plumbing, etc. There is a plug that is loose, and an RJ11 connector that is hanging free. Any idea what this plug could to go? (I won't plug it in without knowing what it is. I am chicken like that)

This is the view from inside the rear bay, looking in to the above compartment. There is a LPG stub with shutoff valve. I want to install a hose extension (which I have) for my BBQ. Suggestions on how to plumb that?

Below are some things I found -
Aladdin inputs:

CB Hookups:

Stereo rear inputs:

And this is just a guy in a bubble suit:

Ahhh, a kindred spirit! I think I was digging around inside mine before the ink was dry on the sales-paperwork.

I also have some RJ-11 wiring running around underneath, but too much for just the phone-lines, they're probably for are for the AirConditioning system (uses the same connectors – which isn't too good of an idea convention-wise. One may confuse one for the other and let out some smoke someday). You might want to tag each wire/connector and then unplug one or two to see if any of AC system then gets disabled.

I have one RJ-11 just hanging there too, and also haven't got up the nerve to plug it in. Nothing isn't working without it, so I guess Monaco just added it to keep us wondering.

Not sure about the 5-wire plug, couldn't find that color-code on any of my diagrams. I'd guess it's part of the standard wiring-harness for that model and you just don't have a particular option.

That LPG stub comes off the downhill (ie, already regulated) side of the LP system, which means it's reduced to the low pressure used by the appliances. Dunno if your grill would work if you hooked it directly, but I'd think not. Also dunno if it'd be a good idea to bypass the regulator on your grill and hook right to it. I've contemplated doing it too, but there seems to be some hesitation.

Cool deal on the Aladdin, mine came w/o it and I was hoping it did.

Yeah, the CB. I installed mine using the supplied little whip antenna. I think I can get better range just yelling out the window, but it is interesting to just listen and learn new 4-letter words from truckers at times when I get bored. I've considered adding a regular NGP antenna instead, but haven't got up the courage to take a drill-bit to the outer shell yet.

I found an extra input for the camera-system and am considering adding another camera to the top of the coach, facing front. I figure it might help in seeing over everybody else to find out what the traffic-jam is up ahead.

Uh-huh, just ˜some' guy? Yeah, right. How do you see out when you're wearing it, Kev???

Hmmm...I have a rj11 cable that runs to the inverter/charger. But if the second picture is the same lead, it appears to be from the rj11 junction block. It almost looks like the main rj11 in.
I need to learn more about these systems...I am going to school to be a coach tech.

Kev-
Iam wondering where the "Aladdin Box" is located?
My thought on the RJ11 jack...possibly a way that the techs plug into the system to get an analysis of the rig if you are having a problem ...or the "sinister insurance industry"
My DH probably would have already done the same thing you have done if we were living in a spot that is condusive to "opening up" the rig during the winter time
Keep us posted as to what you do find and what other tips you find...

Ok.. I am studying your pics more - the "mini jack plug" ... could you put an extension to it so that it is reachable to plug in an Ipod OR a portable "XM receiver" ? And are your Aux 1 or Aux 2 plugs not being used right now - or did you unplug them to show us?

That sounds reasonable. Maybe the central vac or something.

The Box is under the dash, pretty much directly behind the monitor. In this picture you can see the position. I believe that was taken thru the stereo opening.

Aux 1 and 2 are open. I did not unplug anything for the picture, just removed some caps. I was hoping the mini jack plug would work as an input for my Sirius receiver, but I was wrong. I found out that it is a Remote IR Sensor Connection. The diagram also shows that the same connection can be used for a CD Changer.

I will try the red/white RCA connection I suppose. I have an adapter to go from those into the back of my Sirius receiver. I don't care for the FM modulator option. I have a Pioneer Sirius box, so I will also look for a Pioneer headunit to replace the stock stereo with. Have not been that impressed with the functionality.

Thanks again -

ronboc is correct about the LPG stub. It is one of the discrepancies I sent to Monaco after receiving our coach.
However, I did install a Marshall Brass T between the tank and the regulator which is used to power my grill. I was able to accomplish this without compromising the support on the output side of the regulator.

I think I know what the RJ-11 jack is all about. The picture you show is of a standard phone connection device. It works by pluging the small cable connected to the box to the incomming phone line and then allow you to connect all of the inside lines. All of the jacks are connected together inside the box. So what Monaco has done used it to tie togther all the phone jacks in the MH. So if you connect the parks phone line into one of the jacks on the outside of the MH all of the jacks inside are also tied to the parks phone line.

I did add a line to the LP stub using quick disconnects. As RONBOC states I had to remove the regulator from my Weber Q so I could use the MH LP supply. When I removed the regulator I added a quick disconnect to the Weber Q.

Thanks for the pictures they help identify some things.

Thanks Dale and Dave. That is a shame about the LPG stub. I have a Stay A While that I will look to install at the tank then and run the hose back towards that compartment. I don't really want to remove the regulator from my Baby Q, as that would preclude me from using it elsewhere (like hauling it down to the lake).

Hey Dave -

Did you try out that idea with the various phonelines and the connector-box? That was my first thought too, but then I realized there was too many connectors/wires for the nmber of phonejacks in my coach. So I left well-enough alone (for the time-being). Be interested to hear from someone that's gone and tried it.

Kev -

What about re-plumbing that particular LP line so's it connects before the coach-regulator?

I dunno - Dave may have a point. One in the electrical connection bay (input), one in the large storage bay, one in the cocpit, one in the bedroom. That fifth one may be an optional connector somewhere.

If they are all just coming together in that block, I could probably use those lines for running a small wired network. I would like to install my HughesNet modem in the large storage bay, hook in to that junction, then can connect a wireless router in the bedroom. Would just have to change some connectors. Hmmm....

The LP line is feeding the water heater and gas range. It would be more work than that is worth. I have the hardware, will just cost me some time with running the hose.

On my overdash TV there is a standard three wire Audio/Video cable run from the TV audio output to the dash radio input. The video cable section was not being used. I used that to feed the Aladdin video output to the TV video input so now I can see the info on the over dash TV.

Still trying to locate the power outlet for the TV so I can disable the ignition kill feature.
