Wheel by wheel weight

I had my 2005 diplomat 40PAQ weighed at a rally a couple of weeks ago. We did a wheel by wheel weighing to get a real accurate weight. Both holding tanks were empty, fuel was almost full and I had a 3/4 tank of fresh water. We are full timers so we have just a few things on board

The weights are as follows:
Drivers side front 5500lbs
Passenger side front 5650lbs
Drivers side rear 9750lbs
Passenger side rear 10450lbs

I'm 700lbs heavier on the right rear. All this time I thought I had done a good job of balancing my load. Starting moving some of my heavier items tools etc to the left side to balance the load a little more.

If you ever have a chance to weigh wheel by wheel I recommend it. You might be surprised at what you find, I know I was.

Good find that set of drives were likely running hotter than the other side from the extra weight I bet.

Had a similar experience earlier this summer. While going through British Columbia I noticed at a closed highway weigh scale for trucks that the large overhead sign that displays the weight was lit. So I went through twice, once with all axles, both sides, noted the weight, then once with only one side (the scale and surrounding areas were level). My weights were almost identical to yours (700 lbs too heavy on passenger side rear). I moved 350 lbs of... er... stuff... from the passenger side to the driver's side and voila, the problem was solved. Best investment of 10 minutes I ever made...
